Demolition of Owode Market Shops:
On March 6, 2025, LASBCA officials, accompanied by police officers and others, conducted a demolition exercise at Owode Market. This action resulted in the destruction of approximately 500 shops. The agency was reportedly enforcing a court judgment against the neighboring Agbajoowo Market; however, traders claimed that LASBCA wrongfully extended the exercise into Owode Market, leading to the extensive demolition.
